Vintage unsigned Schreiner of New York figural spider brooch from the 1960s. Features a high-domed "collage" cluster crafted from vibrant orange faux-coral cabochons. The Legs: Six prominent, smooth yellow glass-coated or enameled segments sweep outwards along the sides with an additional two tucked behind and capped with marquis cut amber-colored crystals at the bottom. The Head & Accents: Detailed with bright green glass rhinestone eyes the spider has a coral colored cabochon head. Body: Includes a faceted amber rhinestone focal point at the base of the head. Like many iconic "critter" pieces produced by Henry Schreiner during this era, these brooches were frequently unsigned. Collectors identify them through their distinctive construction hallmarks as shown on the underbelly, prong settings, scooped out doming, and facetings on this piece. *Most pieces are one of a kind and cannot be replaced.
